Programme Areas

As a Quad-X HLA apprentice, you’ll rotate through key departments and gain in-depth, project-based experience that links directly to your academic studies. You’ll be part of a supportive team working on some of the most advanced quad and UTV attachments in the industry.

Areas you’ll explore include:

  • Mechanical Engineering & CAD – Turn concepts into reality with 2D and 3D design tools

  • Product Development – Work with prototypes, testing rigs, and experimental builds

  • Power & Drive Systems – Get hands-on with hydraulics, electrics, and drivetrain development

  • Automation & Innovation – Support process improvement and smarter manufacturing workflows

  • Sustainability Projects – Contribute to our efforts to reduce waste, chemical use, and fuel consumption

  • Materials Engineering – Understand how material selection affects durability, performance, and cost

Each placement is guided by experienced mentors and structured to help you grow confidence, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of modern engineering.

Entry Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C including Maths, English & a STEM subject

  • 2 A-Levels at Grade C or above in Maths or STEM
    OR

  • A BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering/Technology with at least 160 UCAS points (Merit in Maths required)
