This programme is open to all ages and ideal for those who want to build a career in agricultural machinery sales. You’ll learn how to connect with customers, understand our innovative products inside-out, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Training is delivered in partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College, with real-world experience gained through the Quad-X sales and business team.

Your journey might include:

  • Learning advanced sales and negotiation techniques

  • Understanding product features and customer needs

  • Supporting dealers and direct sales channels

  • Working with CRM systems and digital sales tools

  • Gaining confidence through real customer interactions

What you’ll gain:

Where it can take you:

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real projects — from machine builds to testing prototypes. Learn everything from hydraulics and diagnostics to mechanical systems and machining.

Choose your pathway:

You’ll rotate through key departments to build a solid, versatile skill set — contributing to the products we ship around the world.

Your journey might include:

  • Fabrication and welding

  • CNC machining

  • Final build and assembly

  • Maintenance (mechanical/electrical)

  • Special projects and development work

What you’ll gain:

  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Engineering Operations

  • City & Guilds Level 3 qualification

  • Level 2/3 technical diploma

  • Paid, full-time work while you train

Where it can take you:

Many of our most skilled team members began through this route — going on to lead departments, specialise in CNC or welding, or take on technical development roles.

Entry requirements:

4 GCSEs at grade D or above, including Maths, English Language, and a relevant science/tech subject.

The business behind the machines.

If you’re organised, curious, and want a future in business operations, planning, logistics, or technical support — this programme blends commercial know-how with practical engineering insight.

You’ll rotate through departments to discover where your strengths lie — from marketing to logistics, planning to technical sales.

Typical career paths include:

  • Customer service & dealer support

Progress into key business roles within Quad-X or the wider manufacturing industry, with experience across sales, planning, and operations.

Entry requirements:

5 GCSEs at grades A*–C, including Maths, English, and a science/technology subject.

Want a degree-level qualification without student loans? This advanced programme lets you learn, earn, and gain high-level skills while working on meaningful projects in design, product development, systems, or manufacturing.

Specialist areas include:

  • Technical Services – Cost estimation, supplier quality, and lean manufacturing

  • Design & CAD – Turn ideas into real machines

  • Product Development – Test, refine, and launch innovative solutions

  • Systems Engineering – Hydraulics, electrics, and power systems

  • Manufacturing & Quality – Continuous improvement and project delivery

What you’ll gain:

  • NVQ Levels 2, 3 & 4 in Engineering Manufacturing

  • Level 4 Technical Qualification (Foundation Degree equivalent)

  • Commercial experience across your chosen field

Where it can take you:

Step into higher-level roles in engineering, design, or project management — fully qualified and already experienced.

Entry requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs (A*–C), including Maths, English, and a STEM subject

  • AND 2 A-Levels (incl. Maths or Science) or a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering/Technology (min. 160 UCAS points)
